Compared with the Easy Fresh cream, five ingredients have been added. None of them changes how the hair comes off.
Tocopherol acetate (vitamin E) — In a product rinsed off after three minutes, an antioxidant’s real job is on the skin left behind, not on the hair.
Niacinamide — Here for redness rather than for tone. It sits low on the list, so read it as a softening touch, not a reason to buy.
Sodium sulphite — Keeps the thioglycolate from oxidising in the tube. A small number of people are sensitive to sulphites, which is worth knowing.
Sodium caseinate — This is a milk protein. If dairy causes you skin trouble, it is the one ingredient on this list to notice before you buy.
Rose water (rose version only) — Mostly water with trace aromatics. It gives the lotion its scent; it will not do anything measurable for dry skin.
Bees wax and ceto stearyl alcohol — Give the lotion its body. They are also why it feels less claggy than a paste and rinses off with less rubbing.
Two honest limits. Sodium caseinate makes this the wrong product for anyone with a dairy allergy, however gentle the rest of it is. And “suits all sensitive skin” is not a claim we will make — a depilatory disturbs the skin surface by design, and only a patch test tells you how yours takes it. If your skin flares at almost everything, a soap-free wash and a blade may be kinder.
