Easy Fresh Hair Removal Cream 120gm

Nineteen ingredients, and only two of them are doing the work.

Thioglycolic acid — Breaks the sulphur bonds that hold hair keratin together. It cannot tell hair keratin from skin keratin, which is why the timer matters.

Calcium hydroxide and potassium hydroxide — The alkalis that swell the hair so the thioglycolate can get inside. They are also why the paste stings if it overstays.

Urea — Softens and lifts the hair shaft, which is why this works in minutes and does not need to be rubbed in hard.

Talc and magnesium trisilicate — Bulk the paste so it sits in a thick layer where you put it, rather than running off warm skin.

Parfume — The scent changes nothing about how the cream behaves. Milk and honey, cucumber, rose and lemon are the same paste.

Worth saying plainly: there is no vitamin E, no niacinamide and nothing soothing anywhere in this list. This is the fast version. If your skin flares easily, the lotion with vitamin E and niacinamide in it is the one to start with instead.

1. Patch test first. Put a coin-sized amount on the inner forearm, leave it three minutes, rinse, and wait 24 hours. Do this even if you have used depilatories before — reactions build with repeat exposure.
2. Apply to clean, dry skin in a thick, even layer. Do not rub it in; the paste has to sit on top of the hair, not be worked into the skin.
3. Set a timer for three minutes. Not a rough guess, an actual timer.
4. Test one small patch with the flat edge of the spatula. If the hair wipes away, remove the rest the same way. If it does not, rinse anyway.
5. Rinse with cool water only. No soap, no scrubbing, no flannel for the first wash.
6. For the next 24 hours skip deodorant, perfume, hot baths, sun, swimming pools and tight seams over the area.

What is depilatory cream, and how is it different from waxing?

A depilatory cream dissolves hair chemically at the skin’s surface. Waxing pulls the whole hair out from the root. That difference decides the rest: waxing hurts more and lasts longer, a cream is painless and lasts days. Neither affects the follicle, so neither reduces regrowth.

How long does hair removal cream last before the hair comes back?

Usually a few days to a week, and it varies more between people than between brands. Because the hair is removed at the surface rather than the root, regrowth starts from a hair already most of the way there. Sooner than waxing, later than shaving.

Does hair removal cream work on coarse or dark hair?

Yes, though coarse hair takes the full time and sometimes does not clear on the first pass. Dark, thick hair also leaves more visible shadow under the skin afterwards, because the part below the surface is still there. Do not reapply the same day to chase it.
